Established and based in Shrewsbury, and now with schools across Shropshire, Universal Martial Arts is lead by Mr. James Kessler(6th Degree Black Belt and ITF International Instructor & Examiner) and his team of instructors. We teach authentic ITF Taekwon-Do to men, women, children a of all ages and abilities. Some martial arts schools choose to follow a very old curriculum and teaching methods, unsuitable for today’s students needs. Others teach a modern system which is often unrecognised and unregulated. What separates us is that we provide the best of both worlds. Our syllabus follows the original Taekwon-Do curriculum as developed by the founder of Taekwon-Do from 1955. We ensure that instead of a military style approach, our students are guided through the curriculum at a pace that suits them. This means that we keep our students longer and ensure they reach and maintain a high standard. All our instructors are insured and registered with the Disclosure Barring Service. (DBS).
