We are a non-profit making Company, which is widely renowned for offering a professional, impartial and unrivalled Family Mediation service to both private and legally funded clients, in a growing number of accessible locations throughout the County of Kent. We can help you if you:- • Have recently separated, or separated some time ago from your partner • Are a heterosexual or a same sex couple • Are already Divorced • Are a Grandparent or other family member who would like to make arrangements to see a child / children • Have a shared interest in a financial matter, albeit you never lived with the other person • Lived with the other person, were not married and have a family or a financial matter that you wish to resolve • Still live together and wish to separate • Are separated from your partner and wish to discuss issues relating to a child / children • Have a business dispute Clients who are eligible for Public Funding(Legal Aid) will then go on to receive FREE mediation and a number of hours with their Solicitor. Those who do not qualify are subject to our subsidised fees. IMPORTANT CHANGES TO LEGAL AID FROM APRIL 2013 (PUBLIC FUNDING) FROM APRIL 2013, FAMILY SOLICITORS WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO OFFER THEIR CLIENTS LEGAL AID. THE ONLY WAY TO GET LEGAL AID WILL BE TO GO VIA A FAMILY MEDIATION SERVICE.

Establishment: Kent Family Mediation Service was established in 1983, as a non-profit making, Registered Charity. The organisation is currently governed by a Board of Trustees. We have a collective experience of mediation which totals over 70 years.
